Last January I embarked on a photo-a-day project of my children. I looked through the photos recently and realised how much they had grown up over the year. And it made me a little bit sad. Because the year flew by so quickly. And so, I imagine, will the next 15. And before I know it they'll be all grown up.
So I made a resolution of sorts and decided to make the project an annual one. A record of them as they were, once upon a time. To make sure I don't forget.
So, without further ado, here is my first image for 2017. A photo of new life to welcome in the new year.
If I had to name this photo it would be 'The calm before the storm', or words to that effect. Minutes after this photo was taken, this peaceful, three-week-new bundle of deliciousness screamed for the best part of two hours.
